The UP Scholarship Scheme is an ambitious initiative by the state government to provide financial aid to students both before and after they have completed their mandatory matriculation. Through the SAKSHAM online portal, students attending institutions and colleges within the state (and occasionally beyond the state) may apply for the award. UP Scholarship Status Check
Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, recently made a statement that government scholarships will be made available to students from the tribal communities and others by the end of the academic year. Up to June 30th, applications from all accredited institutions within the state will be accepted. The authorized enrollment in each school will be checked between June 15 and July 15 by the district basic officer/school inspector. After that, the scholarship funds will be deposited electronically into the recipients’ savings accounts. The Uttar Pradesh Department of Social Welfare has published new instructions for students seeking the Uttar Pradesh scholarship. The new regulations state that students’ biometric presence is required at universities. All government colleges, private colleges, and universities are advised to adopt the appropriate procedures within 15 days. Now, only those who have maintained a 75% attendance rate will be eligible for the rewards. The benefits of the program are unavailable to students with an attendance rate of less than 75%. All the scenarios have to disclose the attendance present every month with the Department of Social Welfare.
5 Lakh SC and 7 lakh OBC Applications Increased
There has been a considerable rise in the number of beneficiaries of the program initiated by the Directorate of Social Welfare and Minorities Welfare. An estimated 20 lakh students from other backward classes and 12 lakh students from Schedule Caste are given the privileges of tuition fee waivers and scholarships. Additionally, 5.75 lakh students from the general category are given the privileges of tuition fee remission and scholarships. The amount of money is transferred straight into the bank accounts of these beneficiaries.
UP Post Matric Scholarship Correction for Suspicious Candidates
To avail of the advantages of the plan, the applicant has to provide accurate and complete data in the application form. The program’s responsible body has released a list of the suspicious applicants based on the post-matriculation applicants’ submitted forms. These candidates must revise their applications to get the program’s advantages. The application rectification site will be available for the candidates from February 11th, 2022, to February 21st, 2022. The applicant must first log in to the system to see if their name is on the list of names that might be fake.
UP Scholarship 2023-24 Reopens for Post-Matric Students
According to the most up-to-date information posted on the UP Scheme website, the state of Uttar Pradesh has extended the application deadline for its post-matric scholarship program. Scholarship applications are currently being accepted on the program’s official website. The deadline for submission of the application by the institutions has been extended and the deadline for locking the master data by the institutions is also extended. Therefore, interested parties are urged to submit their applications before the deadline.
UP Scholarship Application Re-open
Students in Uttar Pradesh, you’re in luck: the state government just announced the reopening of the scholarship application website. Given the current political climate, the government has also opted to make the payment ahead of schedule. In the second round of applications, participation is open to all students who were unable to do so in the first. Both pre- and post-matriculation scholarships are currently accepting applications.
