Jagananna Videshi Vidya Deevena Scheme: The full reimbursement of fees for students securing seats in any of the top 100 QS-ranked universities, or educational institutions, as opposed to students securing seats in 101-200 ranked institutions, will be done by the state government.
A new set of guidelines on saturation mode for Jagananna Videshi Vidya Deevena was issued by the state government to provide benefits to the maximum number of students. Under these new guidelines, financial assistance will be provided by the state government to the needy and deserving students who can get their talent in any of the top 200 world-ranking universities published annually by Quacquarelli Symonds to be held across the world.
Jagananna Videshi Vidya Deevena Scheme
The state government has announced to start of the Jagananna Videshi Vidya Deevena Scheme so that financial assistance can be provided by the government to deserving students for pursuing higher education from abroad, and for completing professional, graduate courses. Andhra Pradesh Jagananna Videshi Vidya Deevena was started by the government through “Navaratnalu” to improve the erstwhile system adopted by the earlier government and to focus on qualitative education in foreign institutions. The state government has started this scheme from this point of view, to provide financial assistance to deserving students and to make them self-reliant.
Under this scheme, up to 50 lakhs will be reimbursed out of the full fees of the student. The reimbursement amount provided under this will be sent directly to the student’s bank accounts in the form of four installments.
Government Help to Students to Study Abroad
AP Jagananna Videshi Vidya Deevena scheme was implemented earlier only in some countries but now this scheme has been implemented in the top 200 universities of any country. According to the new guidelines by the previous government, fee reimbursement was provided up to Rs 15 lakh to SC, ST, minorities, and up to Rs 10 lakh to BC and Kapu candidates. Apart from this, the number of 300 SCs, 100 STs, 400 Kapus, 1,000 BCs, and 500 minorities was limited by the previous government, but on the contrary, no limit has been set by the Andhra Pradesh government for this.

Objectives of AP Jagananna Videshi Vidya Deevena Scheme
The Jagananna Videshi Vidya Deevena Scheme has been started by the Andhra Pradesh government. The main objective of this scheme is to provide financial assistance to all the students of Andhra Pradesh who are unable to afford their studies due to the weak financial condition of their families. Under this scheme, financial assistance will be given to those students who want to pursue foreign higher education and are also eligible for it. Andhra Pradesh Jagananna Videshi Vidya Deevena aims at reimbursement of fees to more than 14 lakh students for pursuing higher education. Under this scheme, the amount of benefit will be sent directly to the bank accounts of the students.
Selection and Scheme Execution Procedure
From 1st August to 30th September and then from 1st January to 29th February all those students who want to get financial aid to study abroad can apply. Under this scheme, scholarships have been earmarked for 33% of female applicants, but if sufficient numbers of eligible female candidates are not present, then in such a situation 33% of male candidates will also be selected.
- Under this scheme, 3% rewards will be set by the government for specially-abled candidates. And if sufficient numbers of eligible specially-abled candidates are not present then other candidates will be selected against this 33%.
- Under the AP Jagananna Videshi Vidya Deevena scheme, the students will be selected by the state-level screening committee constituted by the government.
- The selection of students will be done based on application data and the candidate’s bio-data. 10 lakh financial assistance will be provided to the selected students.
- In case the Corporation does not select enough eligible applications to meet the number of targeted scholarships (i.e. 400 scholarships) under the scheme, students studying in the first year or appearing in the second year in eligible foreign institutions and courses Students will be eligible for the grant. Scholarship under this scheme will be done through the above-mentioned process.

- Under the Jagananna Videshi Vidya Deevena scheme, scholarship allowances are allowed to be met by operating research/learning aid ships available from the universities affiliated with the awardees.
- On payment of the second installment under this scheme, the student will be required to provide a utilization certificate with the support of the concerned university authorities for record purposes and the student will have to provide that certificate.

Guidelines for Jagananna Videshi Vidya Deevena Scheme
- The first installment will be provided by the government on presenting the immigration card (Landing Permit / I-94 card) under the Jagananna Videshi Vidya Deevena scheme, after which the payment of the second installment will be received by the government after preparing the results of the first semester/term, And the third installment will be paid after the second-semester result and the last installment will be paid after the successful completion of the last semester when the mark sheet will be uploaded on the online portal.
- Annual, semester-wise fees will be reimbursed to Ph.D. and MBBS students, FRP students, citizens of economically weaker sections are also eligible and will apply to all those whose family income is less than Rs.8 lakh per annum and students aged 35 or less.
- Notification under this scheme will be issued twice a year, first between September and December and second between January and May.
- During the AP Jagananna Videshi Vidya Deevena scheme, a committee headed by the Chief Secretary will select the students.
- During the pre-TDP regime, EWS people were excluded under it. Apart from including them, the YSRC government has also increased the income limit from Rs 6 lakh to Rs 8 lakh.

Financial Assistance Under Jagananna Videshi Vidya Deevena Scheme
- Under this scheme, a scholarship amount of Rs 10 lakh will be provided to the selected students as financial assistance.
- Under the Jagananna Videshi Vidya Deevena scheme, financial assistance will be provided in two installments in the bank accounts of the beneficiary students. In this, the first installment will be 5 lakh, the amount will be payable to the students on production of Landing Permit 94 card.
- After the presentation of the results of the first semester, an amount of Rs 5 lakh will be provided to the students.
- Apart from this, acceptance proceedings specifying an amount of Rs.10 lakh will also be released by the government to the students after joining their course and subject to the candidates selected by the selection committee as grant fee and living expenses to the students as well. Clearance proceedings can also be used to obtain a visa from the embassy concerned through the applicant.
- In addition, students will be provided with a one-way economy class ticket (lowest fare ticket) for the shortest route on production of entry details and a valid visa.
- The total visa fee will be reimbursed to the student by the government upon production of a valid visa and receipt of payment of the visa fee.
Scope of Jagananna Videshi Vidya Deevena Scheme
- This scheme has been started by the Government of Andhra Pradesh for the members of economically weaker families of the Kapu community. This scheme has been prescribed for those students who are willing to pursue graduation (MBBS only), post-graduation or PhD from abroad.
- Financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh will be provided to the selected applicants under this scheme through the prescribed process.
- Under this scheme, students will be given a one-way economy class ticket (lowest fare ticket) for the shortest route on production of entry details and a valid visa.
- Reimbursement of the total visa fee will be provided to the student on receipt of the visa fee payment and upon production of a valid visa.
Essential Requirements
- To avail of benefits under this scheme, the aspirant must have valid TOEFL, IELTS, GRE, GMAT, etc.
- The student needs to have selection, and admission in a recognized foreign university, otherwise, he cannot take the benefit of this scheme.
- If you want to get the benefit of Jagananna Videshi Vidya Deevena Yojana, then you must have a valid passport.
- Students selected under this scheme should get admission to a recognized university, or institute abroad.
- It is required to attend the University concerned within one year of communication of selection under this. At the end of this specified period, the award will be automatically canceled and terminated. The request for an extension of time for receiving the award under the scheme is not allowed by the government at all.
- Under the AP Jagananna Videshi Vidya Deevena scheme, applicants can change their course of study or research or university. Under this, permission will be granted on a case-to-case basis, subject to approval by the State Level Selection Committee.

Benefits of Jagananna Videshi Vidya Deevena Scheme
- Under this scheme, the government will reimburse the fees of students willing to complete postgraduate courses in foreign institutions in the form of four equal installments in their bank accounts.
- Acceptance action specifying the total eligible amount for the course through the Jagananna Videshi Vidya Deevena scheme will be provided to the beneficiary in the form of fees like a grant, but for this, the student must be selected in the examination of the course as well as that course. should also be a part of.

Eligibility Criteria for Jagananna Videshi Vidya Deevena Scheme
Under this scheme, some eligibility has been set by the government, whoever will be eligible under this scheme can take advantage of this scheme. The eligibility prescribed by the government is as follows:-
- Government employees are not eligible under AP Jagananna Videshi Vidya Deevena scheme.
- Apart from this, if any person in the family is taking benefit of any pension scheme started by the government, then he will not be considered eligible for this scheme.
- Under this scheme, exemption has been provided to the sanctuary workers by the government.
- The government has selected certain courses to provide the benefits of the Andhra Pradesh Jagananna Videshi Vidya Deevena Scheme. Only the students taking education under these courses will be eligible for this scheme. This course is as follows:
